I miss making jewelry!

I went back to school and became so involved with academics that I have completely neglected my jewelry making activities.  Even after losing my hard drive in a chance misadventure, I was able to retrieve photos of my jewelry from the Internet. For some things, it is bad that your history follows you forever. For me, I was delighted to be able to access my jewelry photos!

This beautiful young lady is my co-worker Marc's girlfriend. She is really enjoying the earrings he picked out for her. She sent me a few photos of herself wearing them, and I was so happy to make her happy I wanted to post a photo.

These earrings are large yet light, and I made them after I heard how she'd like them made; what colors, how large, beads yes or no, any interests I should include in the pictures on the jewelry, etc....Doesn't she look great?

Black and white earrings can be painted in many designs and are quite eye catching. Adding just one more color to the color palette changes the whole look. You can see that red is added in an intense chroma as well as with a little white added, which we all know as pink. These are very light to wear despite the fact that these are 1 and 1/4 diameter earrings.

Leger Ladies

Big and bold, I love playing around with Modernist work. I love wearing these.

My tastes vary so much- I like modern and also I am really enjoying painting roses, flowers, etc. If you look closely in this pin you will see a couple getting married, circa 19.....?.It's a vintage wedding pin.

Valentine's Day Earrings

- I generally paint my jewelry in a more contemporary design, but the tiny roses on this pair of earrings are different and I like them alot. The roses themselves are painted in tints of pink and magenta- the background a tint in a romantic low key yellow. And the "dangles" ( I haven't found a better word to describe them yet) are painted to match.

These earrings are a departure from my usual, and I think I can be inspired to paint more jewelry in a sort of Victorian inspired mode.

Jewelry about ART

Alot of my jewelry involves the subject of fine ART- artists you may know, classic artists whose work is seen in a different context pinned to your shirt or handing from your ears. Here's one that's actually a small painting of two people meeting in an art museum where theye are viewing Impressionist art.

In some of my pieces, the people will be painted along with the words in their conversations. The second pin shows Picasso's couple enjoying a Cezanne "Bathers" painting and commenting on it. By wearing this pin, we suppose you, too, would be expressing your enjoyment of "Bathers" and the Picasso couple.

Times being what they are, she's got a full-time job now.
